Joey Luthman Joins Cast of "Tough Guy" Filming this July 2012 in Los Angeles, CA.
Tough Guy is an independent film by Mike Maguire (co-director with Tom Kuntz of "The Onion Movie"). The film expects to make the Festival Circuit in early 2013 and is hoping to premiere at Sundance first. This is a meaty script featuring up and coming young talent. It is set in the suburbs and depicts the lives of a few teenage boys dealing with the trials of growing up bullying and being bullied.
Joey Luthman will be playing a lead role as "Sean", a Will Weaton type of character, dealing with bullying and fitting into the group. The plot takes several twists and is sure to provoke a lot of thought about the state of our society for teens.
Joey is known for his recurring roles on Private Practice, Weeds and iCarly. His strength as a dramatic actor is also seen in the 100th episode of "Ghost Whisperer", Implosion, and opposite Christian Slater in the TV Series "Forgotten".
